As a sister route to the Santa Rosa Creek Route , this route completes the connection from Santa Rosa Creek Road all the way to Highway 46, then heads back to Cambria. You’ll be met with some steep climbs on Santa Rosa Creek past Jackson Gate, but your hard work will be rewarded with famously beautiful views of the Pacific from Highway 1 at the end of your ride.

The first-order Fresnel lens used at Piedras Blancas Light Station was constructed in France by Henri Lapaute in 1872. The original lens and clockwork mechanism are on display next to the Veteran’s Memorial Building.

This route ends at Moonstone Beach, where you’ll be able to relax after your long looping ride. Enjoy the cool ocean breeze and the views from the top of the cliffs or head down onto the pebbly sand and hunt for some moonstones of your own.
