100 Months of 100-Mile Rides
On Wednesday, April 6, 2016, cycling enthusiast and Cambria resident Tom Parsons completed his goal of going on one 100-mile bicycle ride per month for 100 months. This inspiring achievement is no surprise to those who know him well, referring to him as an “inspirational leader” and “genuinely good guy.” Parsons is a respected member of the community: president of the Slabtown Rollers, docent at the Piedras Blancas Light Station and elephant seal rookery, and head of the effort to convince Caltrans to smooth out a stretch of road on Highway 1 for cyclists.
