Best Buddies Challenge at Hearst Castle
Join us on Saturday, September 7, 2019, and choose to ride 100-, 62-, 30, or 15-miles along the Pacific Coast Highway to Hearst Castle in San Simeon. Along the way, you’ll enjoy incredible views of Big Sur, Lucia, Gorda, and Ragged Point as you ride the beautiful rolling coastline of California’s central coast.
Arthritis Foundation’s California Coast Classic Bike Tour
The Arthritis Foundation’s California Coast Classic Bike Tour is a scenic bike ride that takes place over 8 days and covers 525 miles along the coast on Highway 1. The Tour starts in the heart of San Francisco and ends in the iconic Pacific Palisades of Los Angeles. The “CCC”, as it is affectionately known, is a full-service ride which provides the framework for one of the most incredible experiences of a lifetime. We welcome beginners to experienced cyclists to enjoy the coastline’s famous wineries, lighthouses, and beaches.
The Lighthouse Century offers three routes traveling along the coast past San Simeon with two longer routes climbing into the coastal hills. Scenic vistas of the central coast and cool ocean breezes make this beautiful ride a classic that sells out every year, so reserve your place early.
Welcome to the premier boutique wine country ride on the Central Coast. Come enjoy the beautiful scenery and outstanding terrain. The Central Coast offers some of the best rides available to cyclists. When you are finished, come celebrate your ride with a scrumptious BBQ and enjoy premier wines from Wild Horse Winery. This is a place to be among friends, old and new. Afterward, enjoy the beautiful Templeton downtown park and explore our quaint downtown with unique shops and amazing eateries. You can also explore our world-class wineries just minutes away. The Templeton Wine and Roses Bicycle Ride is limited to 350 participants.
Eroica California is back in Cambria once again! Like every year, Eroica Classic will be held on Sunday. However, riders can also enjoy NOVA Eroica the day before. Nova Eroica offers cyclists a chance to experience Eroica California on modern bicycles, in a group ride atmosphere with fun, timed segments. NOVA is open only to road and gravel bikes.
But rides are not all there is to enjoy this weekend. As a special treat, 10 of the best vendors from the original vintage market in Gaiole will be flying in from Italy to display their wares along with swap meet vendors from up and down the West Coast. With music and new gastronomic delights, there’s plenty of fun and activity for everyone.
The San Luis Obispo Bicycle Club invites you to join them for the Wildflower Century offering five routes on rural roads through the vineyards, ranches, and oak woodlands of the Central Coast. Register early to ensure your place in this classic ride.
