Keep your eyes peeled for San Simeon wildlife

Orcas are just one of the many remarkable sights to experience at the Whale Trail. Take a breather from your ride, and soak in one of the nation’s most spectacular protected marine areas. Gray whales, orcas, and otters are just three of the 34 marine species you can spot at this wildlife viewing site. Not all of the wildlife you’ll spot in San Simeon reside in the water. Coast along Highway 1 to Hearst Castle to catch a glimpse of free-roaming exotic animals, like zebras, grazing alongside pastures near Highway 1.
