Two-Wheeled Tours:
Treat Yourself

As the leaves change colors and the temperatures begin to drop, it’s time to leave your tricks at home and indulge in some autumn treats on the Central Coast. Some of our favorite routes include stops featuring delicious delicacies in a variety of categories. Whether you’re in the mood for ice cream, candy, cookies, or a treat of the alcoholic variety, you’ll find what you’re looking for on your next ride.

Stolo Family Vineyards

One of Cambria’s two estate wineries, the farmhouse and old dairy barn at Stolo Family Vineyards dates back to the late 1800s. Less than three miles from the Pacific Ocean, the vineyards thrive in Cambria’s unique microclimate, producing unmatched coastal style varietals. Their slightly sweet, award-winning Gewurztraminer is a crisp treat on a sunny day.

Green Valley Loop

Brown Butter Cookie Company

This sister-owned cookie company is nationally known for its signature sea salt confection: a melt-in-your-mouth shortbread morsel with just a touch of sea salt. They also handcraft several other varieties and sell them from a market at 98 North Ocean Avenue in Cayucos. Stop in for a free sample—but don’t be surprised when you end up buying some to take with you!

927 Beer Company

At 927, you’ll find an inviting, friendly environment frequented by many locals, a selection of table games, and a great selection of beers. They also pour wines and ciders produced by friends on the Central Coast. They recently released a special olallieberry brew, using Linn’s famous olallieberries, and you’re more than welcome to bring a slice of pie along to pair with your beer.

Highway 46 Route

Reimer’s Candies Gifts & Ice Cream

Reimer’s features over 80 varieties of sinfully smooth and rich chocolates and a large selection of candies, including licorice, chews, sours, and famous peanut brittle. When you enter the ice cream shop, you will notice the aroma of fresh, homemade waffle cones, ready for a scoop or two of more than two dozen flavors made in-house. Locally grown wild blackberries, peaches, nuts, and fresh cream make Reimer’s ice creams and sherbets magical!

Avila Beach Route

Harmony Valley Creamery

A wacky one-block wonder, Harmony, California is a bustling blend of quirk and culture from plucky artisans to friendly foodies. Nuzzled near the Pacific off Highway 1 between San Luis Obispo and Cambria, the family creamery has a colorful dairy history dating back to 1869. Stop by the ice cream truck for a sweet treat on your ride.

Coastal Cayucos Route

Twin Coyotes Winery

Twin Coyotes is known for their warm, hospitable tasting room in the heart of Cambria as much for their delightful wines—especially their Stowaway Captain’s Reserve dessert red. Each sip is sweet and sumptuous, and a glass or two will pair perfectly with one of their red wine brownies sold in store.
